TRANSFER AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADVISING

    Welcome Transfer and International Students!

    One-on-one transfer specific academic advising will cover transcript evaluations, academic overviews, Major and Minor program requirements, graduation plans, and course registration guidelines. 

    *Before meeting with an advisor, please ensure you have completed the English and Math placement -or- class requirements.

    Veterans and Active Duty (excluding tuition assistance): If you plan to apply and receive benefits using the Montgomery GI Bill, Post-9/11 GI Bill, or VocRehab (VR&E); please send a copy of the VA certificate of eligibility to veterans.services@stmartin.edu.

    Veterans (Vocational Rehabilitation): Eligible veterans are encouraged to apply for educational benefits by visiting the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Website. Please send a copy of the VA certificate of eligibility to veterans.services@stmartin.edu.

    Active Duty and Reservists using Tuition Assistance: Service members using Tuition Assistance must adhere to guidelines set forth by their specific branch. Please visit Saint Martin’s – JBLM website or contact SMUELD@stmartin.edu for instructions on how to apply and receive tuition assistance.

    Saint Martin’s University has a number of student resources to help you get connected to your campus community and peers. Here are some valuable resources and information available:

    Transfer Credits Info:
    • If you have completed an approved Washington, California, Arizona, or Oregon State Associate in Arts degree - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA), or out of state equivalent, prior to enrolling as a Saint Martin’s student, you will have satisfied the University’s CORE (COR) requirements except for two courses: COR 110 - Religious Studies, and COR 340W – Ethics and the Dignity of Work.
    • If you are transferring in without an AA-DTA or out of state equivalent, prior coursework will be evaluated individually and equivalencies will be given appropriately.
    • If you have submitted Official or unofficial transcripts while concurrently enrolled in classes outside of Saint Martin’s University, once the term has ended you must submit official transcripts again to receive full credit for all courses taken to receive proper registration advising.
