The Center for Student Success will be holding one-on-one academic advising and registration sessions for students starting in Spring. Sessions will cover transcript evaluations, academic overviews, Major and Minor program requirements, and registration guidelines. First Year Students:Complete the Math and English placement exams prior to your registration appointment.Please note:If you have not completed the placement exams prior to your appointment, you may not be able to register for a complete Spring class schedule at the time of your appointment.Placement Evaluation ExceptionsTransfer Students and First Year Students with Running Start:
If you have completed an approved Washington, California, Arizona, or Oregon State AA-DTA (or out of state equivalent) prior to enrolling as a Saint Martin’s student, you will have satisfied the University’s CORE (COR) requirements except for two courses: COR 110 - Religious Studies, and COR 340W – Ethics and the Dignity of Work.
If you are coming in without an AA-DTA or out of state equivalent, prior coursework will be evaluated individually and equivalencies will be given appropriately.
If you have submitted Official or unofficial transcripts while concurrently enrolled in classes outside of Saint Martin’s University, once the term has ended you must submit official transcripts again to receive full credit for all courses taken to receive proper registration advising.
Please read the placement evaluation exceptions document above to determine if you will need to complete either the math or English placement evaluations.
Please note:If Saint Martin’s has not received your final transcripts prior to your appointment, registration for certain classes may be delayed until they are received.Students using Veteran/Military benefits:Veterans and Active Duty (excluding tuition assistance): If you plan to apply and receive benefits using the Montgomery GI Bill, Post-9/11 GI Bill, or VocRehab (VR&E); please send a copy of the VA certificate of eligibility to veterans.services@stmartin.edu.Veterans(Vocational Rehabilitation): Eligible veterans are encouraged to apply for educational benefits by visiting the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Website.
